If you are a licensed Professional Geologist in Minnesota, you are responsible for determining if educational content meets the technical requirements for Professional Development Hours (PDHs). The MN Section of AIPG's 14th annual Education Committee golf scramble and bicycle ride fundraiser will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023!
Registration is closed! Please email us at [email protected] if you have any questions regarding the event or have an auction item to donate.
We'll be golfing at the award-wining Stillwater Country Club!
Don't golf, no problem. We have a large group of folks that don't golf and they participate in the lunch and auction. Or join us for the bicycle ride, followed by the lunch, auction, and networking!
Timeline
8:00 AM - Registration Begins
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM - Practice Range (carts to range and range balls included). Club rental is available.
9:00 AM - Shotgun Start (breakfast sandwich and coffee can be picked up anytime)
9:30 AM - Bicycle Ride Start in the parking lot of the Stillwater Country Club (water and snacks provided). App-based bicycle rentals are available in downtown Stillwater, please make arrangements prior to the bicycle ride.
1:00 PM - Lunch Buffet (burgers/fish sandwiches, cowboy potato salad, leafy salad, and the famous giant chocolate chip cookies) with cash bar along with Silent & Live Auctions

*Team Prizes will be awarded based on total scores per team. Individual Prizes for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Longest Putt winners qualify only with purchase of at least one Eagle Card. An Eagle Card is $25 and allows the golfer 2 mulligans (replay a stroke), entrance into the Individual Prizes and entrance into the door prize! Eagle Cards are availabe to golfers and non-golfers alike, as they are the only way event attendees can receive entry into door prizes! Since this is a fundraising tournament there is no limit to the amount of Eagle Cards that can be purchased!

Scenic Bicycle Ride Option (Back for the 2nd year)
- 1 bicycle rider and lunch/auction admission included (Join us for a scenic bicycle ride around Stillwater followed by the auction/lunch. We'll meet in the Stillwater County Club parking lot at 9:30 AM. Our experienced tour leader, Michael Torres, expects the ride to take 2-3 hours at a leisurely pace and a few photo opportunities. We'll provide some snacks and bottled water. There is no cost for the bike tour, just the lunch.)
Fundraising Benefits The Education Committee
Proceeds from this event are used exclusively for funding the MN Section of AIPG's Education Committee, awarding an annual Student Grant of $1,000 and purchasing mineral hardness kits that are given to k-12 teachers at the annual Minnesota Mineral Education Workshop (MMEW). In addition, the MN Section of AIPG MN supports undergraduate geoscience majors by providing free registration to our monthly technical luncheons and by providing free copies of our national publication, see more on our Education Fund - Giving Back webpage.
