The Twin Cities Subsection of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration's Minnesota Section (SME-Twin Cities) is partnering with the American Institute of Professional Geologists Minnesota Section (AIPG MN) for a 1-day conference on 10/04/2016 and an optional 1-day field trip on 10/05/2016.

Our theme this year is Mining and Industrial Site Life Cycles: From Exploration and Investigation to Innovation and Reclamation.  The conference and field trip will highlight some of the Twin Cities' most notable industrial and mining sites including the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) and the UMore Mining Area (UMA) located in UMore Park.

PDHs: 7.5 professional development hours (PDHs) are available for the conference and an additional 7.5 PDHs for the field trip.
